Character Achievement Party

The Valdosta Junior Service League Provisional Class of 2015 hosted a Character Achievement Princess Tea Party on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at the Converse Dalton Ferrell House.  This event recognized and rewarded local elementary school girls for their academic achievement and outstanding character as demonstrated within their school communities.  The League worked with school guidance counselors at each elementary school in the Lowndes and Valdosta School systems, who nominated two girls that displayed exceptional qualities in the classroom and among their peers. The 21 girls in attendance were greeted by princesses, enjoyed a morning of makeup, face painting, manicures and a glamour photo booth, followed by a “tea party” lunch, and cupcake decorating.  The Provisional class felt that it was important to acknowledge and reward the qualities that are the foundation to becoming strong young women in our community.

VJSL looks forward to hosting another Character Achievement party in the Spring of 2017!
